Whether you arrive in London by broomstick or plane we will transport you on a magical journey into the enchanting world of Harry Potter, visiting the places which inspired the best-selling novels, and visiting many of the locations that were used to bring the stories to life.

This spellbinding GreatBritishVacations.com tour includes a visit to the recently opened Warner Bros. Studio Tour where you will discover the Great Hall at Hogwarts Castle, visit No. 4 Privet Drive and see the real ‘magic’ behind the films. Your itinerary will also include visits to Lacock Village and Alnwick Castle, which all featured in the early films, and a visit to Edinburgh, JK Rowling’s home city.

Your visit to London will include an open-top bus tour of this historic capital city and provides the opportunity for you to explore some of London’s World Famous visitor attractions. You will also join a Harry Potter tour of London to visit all eight Harry Potter film locations. Your time in London also includes a visit to the Warner Bros. Studios where the Harry Potter movies were filmed, before travelling to the City of Bath for the next part of your tour. En-route you will be able to visit 13th-century Lacock Village, one of the film locations for Harry Potter, before arriving in Bath, a World Heritage Site, to visit the world renowned Roman Baths, built over 2,000 years ago and home to Britain's only natural hot spring.

You will then travel to the Scotland’s capital city, Edinburgh, aboard a modern high-speed train, where you can sit back, relax and enjoy the beautiful and dramatically contrasting British countryside. Edinburgh offers visitors a vast array of unique shops, museums and galleries, and the hop-on hop-off bus tour provides a great way to discover the magical locations that inspired the characters and scenes from Harry Potter. Your final visit on this unique tour takes you to the medieval Alnwick Castle, which played a starring role in the first two Harry Potter movies as Hogwarts Castle - Harry learnt to play Quidditch here! Day 1 London
After your arrival in the UK you will enjoy a ‘private transfer’ from the airport to your 4* hotel accommodation in central London (3 nights stay). After checking-in at your hotel you can choose to relax and enjoy the hotel facilities, or begin discovering the vibrant city of London with a City Sightseeing open top bus tour. Click here

Day 2 London
Start your Harry Potter experience in London with a magical bus tour of the film locations and inspirations for all of the 8 Harry Potter films. Your tour will take you to Platform 9 3/4s, the film locations for 12 Grimmauld Place and to the Leaky Caudron. On your tour you will see the places which inspired the scenes from the books and learn more about the magic of Harry Potter.

After your tour you will have time to spend exploring the muggle capital. With so much to see and do you will be spoilt for choice, with world-class attractions to see and visit including the Tower of London, the EDF Energy London Eye, the Tower Bridge Experience, the Houses of Parliament, the National Gallery and the British Museum, or you may want to seek out some of London’s hidden gems, including many unique and exciting museums and galleries.

Day 3 London
Day 3 begins with return coach travel to the world famous Warner Bros. Studio Tour. The Studio Tour includes a visit to The Great Hall at Hogwarts Castle, Dumbledore’s Office, the Gryffindor Dormitory and Hagrid’s Hut. You can have your photo taken flying a broomstick above Hogwarts Castle, and in the backlot you will see No.4 Privet drive, Harry’s parents’ home in Godric’s Hollow and have your photo taken on the Knightbus. Your tour includes an opportunity to see how the creatures that inhabit Harry’s world were brought to life on the big-screen and you can meet Buckbeak, Fawkes and a Hungarian Horntail. Your visit to the studio also provides you with an opportunity to buy some real Butterbeer, Fizzing Whizbees and Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans.

Day 4 Bath
Leaving London by train from historic Paddington Station, you will visit the Roman city of Bath in the morning. Walk in the footsteps of Romans at the historic Roman Baths, before an overnight stay in this historic spa town.

Experience a breath taking countryside drive to the world's most amazing monuments at Stonehenge. Along with audio presentation on the way, you will also have an experienced guide at hand to explore the theories and history behind the wonder.

Later, we proceed to the wonderful & historic village of Lacock, with properties dating back to thirteenth century. Scenes from the first two Harry Potter blockbusters were filmed in the cloisters at Lacock Village and Professor Snape's potions classroom can be found in the Sacristy.

Day 5 Edinburgh
Travelling north on a modern high speed train, you will arrive in Scotland’s Capital City, Edinburgh, later in the day and after checking in to your city centre hotel you will be able to explore JK Rowling’s home city with a hop-on hop-off open top bus tour. Explore the cobbled streets of the Old Town and walk up the Royal Mile, which is dominated by the ancient Castle, or visit the impressive avenues of the New Town. Edinburgh is a city of contrasts blending shopping, historic attractions and Scottish culture in a lively cosmopolitan city. An optional Traditional Scottish Evening with Scottish food, music and dance will also be available, for an additional cost.

Day 6 Edinburgh & surrounding area
Scottish borders offers a glimpse of this once contested frontier between England and Scotland. Peaceful now, the conflict in the Middle Ages from 5th to the 15th centuries gave rise to many border fortresses, including the grand castle at Alnwick, built to protect this frontier of the Norman Empire. Your Harry Potter tour first takes you to a historical mystery at Rosslyn Chapel, also featured in "The Da Vinci Code". The chapel offers a beautiful walk through Roslin Glen & ruins of Rosslyn Castle.

You'll then be driven to see the picturesque, Melrose Abbey - widely regarded as one of Europe's most beautiful ruins. It is believed to have Robert the Bruce's heart buried at the Abbey and is the final resting place for Scottish Kings.

The tour finally lands you at Alnwick Castle, the home of the Duke of Northumberland and the film location for Hogwarts Castle, where Harry learnt to fly and crash landed the flying Ford Anglia car. The day ends on the road that leads you up a stunning coastal drive, past some wonderful locations such as the Holy Island and Berwick-upon-Tweed, a scenic coastal town. The final night of your tour will be spent in Edinburgh.

Day 7 Return home
Pick up your shuttle bus transfer to Edinburgh airport or relax in your reserved seat on board a high-speed train to London.
